Hello, Elle!
We had a flurry of snow earlier!
Quite cold here, about 5C when I returned.
Alas, my dentist found two small fillings to do!
And a scrape and polish needed.
She will do them next week.
I have finished my puzzle.
Hope you get 12A !

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I shivered when I read about your snow flurry!
I am so glad that I have my new padded coat, especially purchased for walking the dog!
I bought it in the end-of-Winter Trespass Sale!
A great bargain!
Sorry about your dental news...not nice, but at least you describe the two fillings needed as "small"!
Yes, I got 12a.......of course!
I have finally completed the 15 x 15 by virtue of revisiting it several times over the course of the morning!
I thought some clues were very difficult?
My favourites were 3a; 13a; 24a; and 1d and 17d.
I had never heard of "scapegrace", but enjoyed working out the answer!
Re 2d: I have endless stock, and add in new?(8)
I have "investor"
Ive - I have
n - new
stor (e)- endless stock
But what is the definition here?
(Perhaps I need stronger coffee?)
P.S. I didn't know that a "bravo" was a hired assassin?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, two fillings, one is "buccal", which means facing the cheek...I think!
There is a great baker next to my dentist, so when I came out I treated me to 6 jammy doughnuts!
Yes, had several flurries of snow today.
I suppose "investor" has stock, but I do not think much of the clue.
Maybe all the clue is the definition, Elle.
"Bravo" was new to me, too, and "scapegrace".
Was a good puzzle, though.
Trespass has a good range of walking gear at sensible prices.
We have a Mountain Warehouse in town, too.
It is similar to Trespass.

Hi, Rusty!
We have just come back from the park........a sudden decision to fit in another walk before it got dark.
I have already got the lights on in the lounge now, and the curtains drawn.
I'm not sure that six jam doughnuts will be beneficial for your potential fillings ?
But I bet they taste good!
Yes, Trespass is a good shop..
I don't know "Mountain Warehouse"........ I wonder if we have that ?
Speaking of cold weather gear.......
Did you buy another fleecey shirt?
You did say that you were thinking of doing that?

We've a friend staying with us who is recovering from a (mild, we hope) heart attack. The book of advice of Dos and Don'ts he was given has in three different places "Don't shovel snow. He's hoping it will, so he can watch!

Hello, Elle!
I have ate the doughnuts.
They were yummy!
Yes, I bought a fleece lined shirt and a chunky cardigan.
All set for Winter!
It has been cold today.

Hi, Rusty!
I think you did well to buy yourself another fleece-lined shirt and a
thick cardigan!
You are likely to need them!
We seem to be all set for a very cold spell!
It is freezing cold out!
Just opening the door to the garden, to let out the dog, has me shivering!
I have turned up the heating a little.
I meant to mention the similarity of a QC clue today to one last week in the 15 x 15.....
Do you remember "notes" ......."no TES"?
Today in the QC, we had:
Observed absence of small boy? (5)
"noted" ....no Ted!
I liked this one !
It made me chuckle!

Hello, Chris!
I hope your friend makes a good recovery.
I should imagine it isn't easy to refrain from doing something strenuous, if you have been used to leading an active life.
Snow shovelling is notorious for bringing on heart attacks!

Hi elle
He hasn't been all that active - part of the problem, I suppose!

I expect that it's the combination of activity and cold that causes the heart attacks - shovelling warm snow would be much less dangerous...

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I remember "notes".
I have been on the phone to BT.
My email page is completely blank.
They tell me their engineers are working on it.
That's the first BT problem I have had in a long time!

Hi, Rusty!
Now that is rather strange, because about half an hour ago I wrote an email letter to a friend, and, three -quarters way through the letter, it all disappeared from my Inbox screen!
Just blank!
The partially completed letter was not in "Drafts" either, as one would have expected!
Grrh!
I rewrote said letter in "Word", and then copied and pasted it into my Inbox and sent it as normal.
That appears to have worked.
I wonder whether this was a similar problem to yours?
Or simply an eerie coincidence?
But my difficulty seems to be resolved whatever the cause.....
I hope you soon get your problem sorted!

Warm snow, Chris......now there's an idea.......
