Ok ginge, finally got it, one meaning of course meant nothing to me. I think I hate Edmund, although I don't suppose he'll be too bothered by my enmity!

The only unchecked letter is the first one.
R fits in with the definition (Spenser's kingdom)
However it seems to be H from the wordplay ie HE for His Excellency.
What do others have please?
