Thank you so much Chrise for your generous choice. When I looked at the clue the next morning, in the cold light of day, I felt a bit silly and wondered if I should have stuck with just my first submission. I agree with you Chrise, there were some really clever entries. Thank you for my first ever win! Should I celebrate with a glass of wine?

Hiya Marty, I just googled "snakebite" and apparently in some quarters, it has been called lunatic soup! What fun. I wonder if it means you have to be a lunatic to drink it - or it turns you into one after you've drunk it! Whichever, a mix of lager and cider..mmm.. sounds good to me. Have fun!

The lunatic broth you refer to is a subtle blend of White Lightning and Carlsberg special brew.
My little tipple is a pale imitation consisting of Strongbow and Stella ...hic

On these warm, summer evenings, I'd prefer a gin and tonic or..... a pitcher of Pimms.

And if you stick some vodka in the bottom of the pitcher first........
