Still mystified. Were you looking under "race" for this word beginning with r Malone? I think I am a bit lost with my pairs.

Like you, I was left with the two Os. I'm still researching the two 'g' words - the one you suggested and the one I suggested (replacing Jogamel's). I'm not sure how they work, thematically.

Jogamel, I was looking under 'race' - but the word begins with 'g' (anagram of your word).

I've checked and that one works ok - Chambers confirms it. I think 'groove' works too, having checked definitions.
