Happy New Year everybody and many thanks for all the help given over the past year !!
I'm now going to ask for a bit more !! This quiz is really getting to me !! I have an answer for 34. Wood conceals a service flyer (4,3) but I am not at all happy with it - an extra clue would be appreciated !!
Also 40. A dunderhead knows how to get Elizabeth to reveal a portcullis. (6) and 83. Neutered you hear as replacement for primary oestrogen in testes. (8).
It's asking a lot but please help if you can - many thanks !!! P

34 the "wood" is used in a game, rather than being a type of tree. It's the senior service included.

I can think of an answer for 83, but part of the parsing is a bit rude!

(Slang name for testes?)

Hi Polly
I'm intrigued now what your answer to 40 is!

In 83 I'm not quite sure how "neutered you hear" gives the required U to replace the O (primary oestrogen)

"you hear" is U which is replacement for O (primary oestrogen) in Bollocks (testes) giving bullocks- neutered?

Thanks AB
What's the "neutered" doing then? These don't seem to have included definitions.
