Good morning folks. I ask your understanding today. I've been 'struck down' by a dreadful tummy bug over the weekend and last night. Little or no sleep. Went to see doc this morning and have a few tablets. Methinks I undercooked some thick sausages in the oven on Sat night. Silly me! I'm usually so careful. So as not to miss a day, I've put this 5 together a little hastily. Hopefully no errors or 'stupidities'. I'm back to bed in a few minutes and will peek in later. Enjoy! J

Actually I've seen a possibility for #1, but can't parse the first bit.

Sausages are dangerous things, Jolan, and so are ovens.
Only see 1, 3, and 5 right off, though not sure about 1. The first thing that comes to mind for 4 I can't parse...

What a martyr jolan; impressive given your condition. I'm also a tad under the weather and also self-inflicted! Nothing on first read, more than a coincidence methinks.

I thought I had two answers (1 and 5) but they don't quite parse, so back to the drawing board...

Took the tabs, put my head down before midday and just woke up, feeling good and rested. Must now be careful for a few days. No feasts Ari, eh?

Just a word! Shouldn't have put #1 first. I should have left it to 4 or 5. It probably will not parse cos it's not an author (It's 'pure cryptic').
