thanks ginge , hmm... it is a bit ghostly , but "flowering at night" could not really mean anything other than nyctanthous - the second word I've learnt in this weeks competition .

thon can be used as "they". (those Scots)
pro. they (singular). Gender-neutral third-person singular subject pronoun, coordinate with gendered pronouns he and she.

I thought this would be challenging, but never dreamt that it would force anyone to resort to the evil ghost anagram (funny, I always feel that night-flowering plants are sinister too). We have a runaway winner with more than 50% of the vote, bigbadmarty’s:

Flirt away with that touchy Rolf in disguise as an Aboriginal (11)

Here’s the prize:

Thanks to all for participating. See you next week.

Well done BBM2, Cheers aristo for an interesting word.
Thanks for the explanation Jazzgirl.

Aristo: When you copy and paste the address from a website, just click back in the address and delete the 's' at the end of https and it'll atoumatically hyperlink. The 's' is a security measure mate, take care.

PS: Would you comment on my post now it's over, I found it quite difficult to pin down a definitive meaning
