Very tough puzzle. I've got all but about 7 of the clues, and unsure of the wordplay of a couple of others. No idea about the theme, though.

Can anyone give me 24 down?

anag COLIN C(lo)UT = CONLUCTI. Latin songs = CONDUCTI. hum - anagram indicator. Thematic clue.

Finished, but what a slog! To hell with the instructions, the highlighting is clear! Don't think I'll ever do another puzzle again --- not one like this, at least!

Could you give me 10 down and 44 ac?

Those will probably allow me to resolve a couple of others in those corners, whose wordplay I can't work out.
