Always seem to be behind everyone else - do not want to start today's 'til satisfied with yesterday's!
'See court bearing up after cuts? Not half' (5) I have CURIA - a court - not sure HOW from clue!
'Entirely support conflicts involving Dutch' (9) - support = back plus conflicts = war D s gives me BACKWARDS? Do I take it that backwards is being used to mean entirely as in "knowing something backwards" - knowing it entirely??

I went with backwards Finley, on the basis of backwards=inside out = entirely....a little loose I must admit!

Entirely is backwards.
Support = back.
conflicts = wars.
Dutch = D, inside wars.

Thanx rusty, I had got the answer with the same workings, but wasn't (and am still not) in agreement that entirely means the SAME as backwards!

Yes, it's the definition that's the problem.

I don't like it as a definition either.

I don't know how to do links, but I Googled the phrase "know something backwards"
Oxford Dictionaries gave the meaning "be entirely familiar with something."
I would be happy with backwards/entirely.
