Hi Jolan

Only 2 today as the Chancellor and my accountant distracted me this afternoon :)

1. Feign - subtractive of foreign (alien) minus 'or'

2. Sprae - Centres of - Unusual papal observers stipulate new, giving: tropical disease

Thanks for the usual mental workout and I hope to give your clues my full attention next week, Take care :)

Good Jg and RE (lol).

Methinks I'll leave them up there. Some others (not expecting Wednesday) may have missed 'em.

May even leave them to be solved until tomorrow. ab and Ari may like to have a try. I'm a bit reluctant to append the solutions just the noo, having spent so much time composing them.

Hope this is OK. Again, sorry about the big delay in posting. Off to do din-din now, in case Ari has beaten me to it. J

Hi jolan
Been out all day, so I haven't looked yet, and the dinner bell has just been rung.

Glad that the problems weren't yours (though I hope your friend recovers quickly too!)

Hi also Chris.

Sorry folks NOT Labour Force, NOT Police Force. If fact, not FORCE at all. #% is a "charade" leading to a cryptic result.

#4 is pure cryptic (&, I believe, a "kick myself" one.

I hope you don't mind but I'll leave it there until sometime tomorrow. I feel sure someone will definitely get #4 and probably #5.

Personally, I'm delighted :)) It's VERY rare to get an unsolved Jolan. You folk are too good.

Bless
