How kind of you and jazzgirl to think of me at this time of year and, needless to say, I haven't forgotten my friends on this site.

Thank you for your concern and I'm pleased to say that I'm fit and well and looking forward to the Festive Season.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all the Compliments of the Season and, because I have been rather touched by your comments, may I be allowed to rejoin you please?

Mondrian, I'm sorry that you name was omitted from my previous post because the construct was different from that which appeared in print.

You may be amused to know that I was in the Walker Art Gallery, in Liverpool, for something like six hours last month and my only regret is that they don't have anything by my namesake or by Canaletto.

As you can see, I'm very patriotic about my favourite painters!

How good it is to hear from you Caravaggio. I for one have missed your humour and wit. Welcome back to the flock. Sending you best wishes for the festive season. Jg

jazzgirl:

What a lovely, warm welcome back to the fold and is it me or does typing on this site seem like running through quicksand? I can't think that it's my machine because I treated myself to a new high-powered laptop in July...

Have you taken any stunning photographs lately?

Love and best wishes,

Caravaggio

Caravaggio. May I join in with and fully endorse Jazzgirl`s post. I too welcome you back to the site if you intend to contribute to it (and even if you dont). I too have missed your wit and humour.

I am interested to hear of your visit to Walker Art Gallery. I am sure not many galieries in the UK have works by Caravaggio. The Canalettos are better represented owing to all those who travelled to Italy on the Grand Toursi in days gone by!!

Glad to hear you are well and I send you all good wishes for the festive Season

Chrisg. Thanks for solving those two. I should have known better than to spend time searching the atlas for hills in Bedfordshire!
