Top left corner causing concern this morning.
1d. Tuft of hair missing in the middle, check quality (3-5) --P/---C-
Quality=TOP NOTCH? Unlikely.
Tuft of hair= catlick? Without an L?
Any thoughts?

I thought the 'tuft' was Top Knot , then remove the 'k' (which is in the middle)?

Okay, so TOPKNOT minus the middle letter = TOP NOT, + CH = check.
