The easiest Listener for a few weeks and I had little trouble filling the grid once the theme became apparent. I'm probably missing something very obvious, but could anyone please give me a hint as to how to find "the victim, appearing symbolically in the grid"? I can see his first name, but that's only 7 of the 12 characters required. Thanks.

His full name appears in a relevant shape. As you have the main 7 letters, follow round at each end in that shape.

Could anyone explain the wordplay for 33 across? I'm not sure whether the fourth unchecked letter in the answer is supposed to be a "d" or a "s" - any advice appreciated. I presume the first letter of the first word in the clue is the misprint. Many thanks.

I can't decide whether 26 AC should be AMUSER or ABUSER. Neither really fits. An amuser is an old cannon, and a muse is a sort of highway???
