Thanks for the clues, Jolan. Happy I got the 2, nowhere near with the others.

Hello, Jolan et al. I had to run off. I had a blank for #3, otherwise OK. I really mustn't try to solve clues while driving.

Dinner was a great success. Thank you all for the kind comments. Yes DJaw, the crossing letters would have done the trick, that is why I find the 'cold-solvers' on"5" so very clever. I'd find it very difficult indeed.

Well Ari, the cops over here would just love to find a motorist doing 5@5 while driving. They have a special reward for them :)

Thanks all for participating.
See you next week (Os 'dan ni'n byw am yr adeg)
Be safe and well
John

I'm really a simple chap. A spinach and ricotta pizza with fresh roasted salmon followed by stewed apple with ginger and cloves + cream.

Busy day tomorrow so off to beddie pies soon

Bless

I regret that though I am half Welsh, I have no knowledge of the language - though, to be fair, neither did my Welsh father, though my grandparents were fluent. My grandmother was proud of being able to converse with the "French onion sellers", not realising that they weren't French, but Breton.

Very interesting Chris.
I'm Irish myself and have learned Iaith y Nefoedd (the language of heaven)
