71 Try reversing the first two words for the definition element of the clue
76 It is an anagram, but not the words you mention. Keep looking.
84 Not a P word and not Spanish. Petitioned is the definition.
87 A colin is a particular type of bird (apparently). Wish I had your dictionary though.
90 This is only a partial anagram. Not even = take the odd letters only.
100 The writer is an old-fashioned writing implement. The answer is a slang word for lots.

Been busy for a few days but thanks to Violin and Wilhemina for help with 40 and 41. Have an answer for 47 but not too sure. Any guidance please? Also have an answer for 63 which I think is correct but cannot see where the 4 kings come in! Willing to help with other clues.

Thanks Danl for your help. Have solved those ones apart from the two anagrams, ie 76 and 90. In 76, is Bacon of any significance? Tried all sorts of connotations but no luck! Re no. 87, the obscene remarks weren't in the dictionary but result of a google search!!!!! If I can get these two then that would be the back page complete - hurrah!! But still another 25 on pages 1 and 2!

Haeremai18 Yes Bacon is of significance but not the Bacon as a foodstuff but as a he. I am struggling on 87. Found a word that means lampoon but can't see the significance to ninepins.

Felicity: no 87. Look up Colin as in a bird and think of a game you play on the deck of a ship. Jumble it up and I think it is the answer! Re no 76 - is the Bacon as in Francis? Even if it is I still can't get the anagram.

Haeremai: 87 Put the colin as a bird (5 letters)between SS (on board ship), and you get the name of an obscure game like ninepins. That's what I've got anyway.

76: Yes, Francis Bacon.

Hi everyone. I think I have finished, but am still unsure of my answer to 71. I have the name of an errant knight beginning with Q but I am not sure of the 'a young man in distress' bit. What am I missing please?
