I'd already got No,22 thanks Loobylooby and a check in Chambers explained the missile bit.

9. There had to be a reason why question 9 was written out. Use a short way of expressing that and the second half of the answer is an adjective referring to the ear.

You're looking at 'long' the right way (not to do with length) but need another word to express it. Criticise - what critics will do to what they consider a bad play or show. The whole answer means 'dash'. (No.36)

70. Google a list of comic operas and you'll quickly find your answer.

81. Word for a writing implement plus a word to run off to get married to give a woman from mythology.

91. Word for a safe + word for a vessel (not ship type of vessel) and the whole is a story book character.

65. Sally is not a person - find a synonym for it and follow the instructions in the clue to give more than half the answer.

hi haeremai ( sorry to take so long to get back - I have been out all day)
Re 10. The 3 letter word beginning with K is correct.
The 5 letter word beginning with P is actually a 4 letter word with the S at the end of the answer. The answer is a fruit (though I thought it was a vegetable !)
Hope this is abit more helpful.

Please could no one confirm 63 starts with a p. I've got an answer but can't see how it fits with the 4 kings.
34. Please could anyone give a further clue for this one. I can't find any word which fits with church people and can't find any other angles to try.
Cheers

I worked out 10 in the end with your help Winnie and the use of my trusty crossword solving machine. Can anyone help with 40 and 41 please ? I have the answer to 41 from a previous posting but do not know why it is so and cannot work out 40.
