Hi jazzgirl
RT was a 15 minute effort today - a bit disappointing, really. I'll join in if anyone else starts the thread to comment or ask for help.

1. Exceedingly blue material used in motorway construction? (4-4)- Hard core? Double definition “hard core” is “exceedingly blue” and used in construction.

2. The second person to beam in perpetuity (4,5) Ever after? – “Eve” is the second person and a “rafter “ is a beam, thus eve rafter – in perpetuity.

3. May be exploited by users of outrageously arty English logo (8,7) Shooting Gallery? (Exploited by drug users to shoot up drugs. Anagram of “arty English logo”).

4. Hound belonging to Fancy Dan, died in Montenegro (6,7)- Dandie Dinmont? (Dog, In clue)

5. Perhaps American football’s the thing that’s most important? (3,4,2,3,4) The name of the game? (Double definition – American football is “the name of the game” and the expression means “the thing that’s most important”)
