Pendragon - I had 26ac/26dn paired by default, but then I stumbled upon a plausible answer for 26dn on its own. I'd be happy to share thoughts on 26dn if others are.

I have a high street bank for 26D/26A.

...and my 26D relies on privy becoming another type of privy!

I think I see what you've got but can't see how you get it. Where does privy come from?

The only way I can make it work is..

party to=with=W
privileged information=privy=loo(would be in this) - rising

"Party ... in this" could be know, which is another word backwards, meaning a nerd. Also Party could be DO of ocurse ...

Mind you I have been looking for one word but the answer could be two words like 5/23.

It's possible ixion, but I don't really go with the jump from "privileged information" to loo.

I thought 26dn might be loop - "party to privileged information might be in this". It's also pool (bank) rising. But I can't see how that can work with 26ac.

It seems that giving the clues would not have been helpful. Apologies to dizoz for being sarky.

Yes, loop/pool is better than my suggestion. I'm not 100% sure pool and bank are good synonyms. However, we would then need a word LOOPL?C? or, depending on which word has to "rise," POOLP?C?.

Still stuck on these two and 4D.
