Rinkleez: I think No. 61 relates to a Shelley poem, Ozymandias, first line: "I met a ____ from an antique land". The answer is one of Robert E Lee's horses.
I'm nearly finished myself. Just two to get.
14. Watch the horse (6). I think that "watch" might mean "those who stand sentry at night"="GUARDS" and "the horse" could mean "cavalry" = "horseguards" = "GUARDS" giving the answer "GUARDS". But I can also find arguments to choose "QUARTZ" and "SENTRY" as answers. Any help would be appreciated.
20. Have a go at French firm (6). That's the clue but I am stumped. I've played with A TRY and SHOT and LA and LE and even AU for "at the" but to no avail. Happy to trade clues for pointers.
