Anyone whose says he is from Microsoft is telling lies and should be reported.
Microsoft will never call you direct.
This scam has been going round for some time
He even has the audacity to try again.

yesterday "Microsoft service and support headquarters" called me. the lady on the phone spoke with an indian accent. she was of the opinion that my pc is infected and needs to be maintened.

i searched for their phone number on google and found it on http://www.tellows.co.uk most of the people are saying that this is scam! so beware of callers claiming to be microsoft and telling you your pc is infected!

Stephen Fry's way of dealing with these sort of calls, and with anyone who simply wants him to part with his money, is to say that he is glad they called, because it gives him an opportunity to tell them about his Lord Jesus Christ.

I like to ask them if they can hold on for a minute. I lay the telephone down, off the hook, and continue watching television until they get fed up and go away.

Hello Wendy I'm back - thanks for asking. Family troubles. As to these scam callers - tell them you work for Microsoft, always works! then put the phone straight down.

Virgin call centre workers are brilliant and so are the Microsoft ones. One of the worst is the 3 mobile one - they keep trying to get you to "upgrade" your account, as in pay out more!
