By the way, is 14 playing fair? I was thrown off for a bit- thought that the answer I had must be wrong. Time for start of operation, hands on, reverse of sport (5). Shouldn't it be (1-4)?

Although the two-word answers don't give numbers. But shouldn't it at least say hyphenated?

Hi Aristo. Hyphenated answers are never (to my knowledge)indicated in barred crosswords like this, whereas they are in standard cryptics. No idea why that should be so. Anyway, seems you have the right answer anyway.

19 'fixer' should read 'fixers'
36 (4)should read (5)
