26 The wordplay seems to be an "a" short?

35 I have the defn and answer, don't get the "yielding etc" wordplay, presume a "w" is involved somewhere?

26 I didn't check the letters, but I think you're right.

35 The initial is ess (not W). Take it away, and you're left with an old word for profits.
