Thanks for that calliewag
Will look at that one again. Beginning to doubt whether any of my answers are right now - perhaps I ought to give this quiz a rest for a while.
Will keep in touch with this thread though. Good luck with your answers

Have finished the quiz now, but I'm not happy with my answer to no. 65. I've got the name of a district in the East End, which starts with a (sort of) colour, but can't see how it fits the rest of the clue. Any hints, please?

Thanks, anotheray, for taking the trouble to type all that out about the 'rascals'.

calliewag - your answer is right - google it with billiards and see what you get.

I think it's my 35 that's wrong as I need that one to begin with L. Any hints please?

Hi calliewag
Your answer to 65 is perfectly correct. Look on Google under Billiards......BTW have found an answer for 37 not starting with L - The letters give a scrabble word score of 25
Hi Bill
No problem, that shanty certainly gives the game (answer) away. I didn't worry about that because the question had already been answered on a previous post.
I endeavour to never give the answers - just clues.

Thanks lady Bee, that solves that one! re 35, my answer relates to the author Swift and his race of little people.

Thanks for that calliewag - you have to think laterally with some of these questions not just go for the obvious.

Answers to 2 and 88 are in the question.

41, 69 and 72 contain anagrams - always a good idea to look out for them
