What a cracking puzzle!! Got more excited about the extra discovery than a well-balanced person should. Maybe I’ll go for a walk 😆

Lovely puzzle. All done except the required 'alteration'. I'm almost there but what I think is its ending. Could someone tell me the last letter perhaps, please.

An excellent puzzle and a tour de force of construction. I first heard the whole piece a half century ago in Kings College Chapel. The experience lives with me still.

Just starting, but am puzzled after only ten minutes! I need help in properly understanding the preamble.

At rectangle one I have the desk and the enzedder crossing in the only place that they fit (if I have the preamble understood). However, that would leave no place for the stick given that there is a six letter entry beginning at the top LHC - oh, hang on, is it something to do with the unclued?

I came back to this a couple of hours ago, and the solve fell into place nicely.

My "O" Level Latin isn't helping with the end game. The obvious words foe a Latin anagram seem to be ASTERIA and OLESTRA, but finding nothing........and I can't get out of a "Spem in Alium" rabbit hole

It’s not a rabbit hole, bc. The most famous section begins with the word you’re looking for
