Should it be 33/55/18 rather than 33/56/18?

Juandango. One of the few I solved on first pass. First part indicates an anagram. Second part is definition.

35/55/18 rather than 35/56/18, that is. First law of typos strikes again.

smudgekent@40--that's what I have too, but it looks like the definition means the opposite of the answer, I think.

Never mind my posts at 11 and 13, I've just figured that out. And sorry for so many nearly consecutive posts!

I agree with mattw and juandango re 40. Surely should be ‘that’s already open’?

there's usually a small mistake in a maskarade/doc puzzle ... sometimes I think he does it deliberately - the apostrophe in 8 should be mentioned too ... but you have to admire the skill displayed in fitting all the thematics in and finding anagrams for them.

40d - Count me among those who think the answer means the exact opposite to "not yet open"

Coincidentally just watched new film of 8a, excellent. Helped the solve!

Finished except for 36a for which I have first and last letters and no ideas which fit the clue in any way. Hints?

In the print version there is a mistake in 45/65: 45 is 3, 4, 3 not 3, 3, 4. It confused me as I had the two crossers from 67 and 70 and could only think of one 4-letter word with them ... !

Quite demanding of knowledge for the thematics, and never heard of 7d, so a little googling and CrosswordSolver was needed. (49d is the only word fitting the 4 crossers I had, and I vaguely recognise it now I've seen it).

Any nudges for 36? Does "my" hint towards something to do with the word "maskarade"?
