Another great puzzle with an unappealing, zero interest theme! And the instruction could be well-received...

Hi Malone,

Your post has me all over the place: Excited to see it's a great puzzle, then immediately deflated to see the theme had zero interest for you - only for my spirits to be raised again on reading that the instruction could be well-received:-)

Thanks, Brendan. I have trained myself to just ... disregard the themes I don't like, safe in the knowledge that some other solver will say, 'Oh, goody, I've always loved 17th-century madrigals' or whatever. If the puzzle is decent, as this one was, and is well-crafted, as this one was, I can overlook the subject.

Ah, thank Malone - all is now clear.

As a side note, by amazing coincidence, while reading your post I was watching a YouTube video about artisdts who were having to cancel tours and shows due to a phenomenon known as 'blue dot syndrome'. I'd never heard the term before but it refers to the blue that appears when booking theatre seats to show which areas still remain available/unsold.

The point, I hear you ask? Well, while I was not surprised by most of the names mentioned, one name did catch my attention... Post Malone who, while I know he's not your cup of tea (we've discussed him before), is the 13th most listened to artist in the world on Spotify history.

Hard times indeed! Now back to YouTube and Amy MacDonald's This is the Life 😉

Thanks, again, Brendan. The 'blue dot' thing was very interesting, the stuff on Spotify is... far less so (I like silence).

I may need your assistance at some point...
