Cumbriansolver @5 it's how someone from that area might pronounce a slang word for the drug. There's a couple I can't parse: 6d Festivity with bore that's noble type (7). I have an extremely noble type and can see the festivity but don't see how "bore" fits. And 10 down I I work had I get a little plaque (6,7) I have the answer but can't parse anthing other than the definition!

5d - 'bore ' as in she bore 2 children by him or she ??? 2 children.....
