Well I've really enjoyed the left hand half.. Getting nowhere with the right, I'll come back to it over Sunday coffee!

Same here sloth. Can someone help with 36a. Country blues isn’t bad on endless reels (6) one word is redundant. I have no letters.

I haven't got a solution for 36a but I'm pretty certain the 3rd& 4th letters are S and N.

Blues is redundant. Drop the last letters from the middle three words (endless). Reels is an anagrind

I've found the "source" which I remember vaguely as my children sang the chorus continually (they had no idea what the words meant, of course), and I've a full grid ... but the relevance of the omitted words on the RHS eludes me. As does their connection to the extra bits on the left.

What a brilliant puzzle this is! It took me a while to fully understand how all the silvered answers worked, particularly on the RHS, but it all works out very nicely in the end. There are certainly some new words for me removed from the long answers on the RHS and my BRB has taken a battering in order to finish this. Thanks Ifor.

I got half the theme straightv away from 1a and my hunch aboit the source proved correct with one or two of the extra words. As others have noted, the RHS proved trickier but it all came together nicely. Many thanks to Ifor

This is another great IQ from Ifor. All done except for one letter string still to find. Could somebody nudge me towards 34a please?

I thought the last three words were the wordplay but now I’m doubting myself.
