Good morning, fine people.
The heat is getting to me, I think. I'm having a serious mental blockage re some of these clues & how to approach them.

15 across
Powerful trendy present, maybe (7) ?N?E?S?

23 across
One claiming to cause downfall of Iran - fantastic supreme being! (9)
??I???K?? (Feels like this one should be obvious. That exclamation mark seems to point to it being so)

30 across
Keele men try storing carbon? (7)
??E?E?T. (What is Keele?)

If I can get these, the other few should fall into place.
Thanks in advance. 😁

23 looks like RAINMAKER (one claiming to cause downfall). It starts with an anagram of IRAN (fantastic). I suppose a supreme being could be termed a MAKER.

30 don't know. Keele is a place in the English midlands, near Stoke. It has a university.

Thanks ChrisE
That was the shove I needed.

Just have one more.

22 down

Rock's at London university, failing that (2,4)
?R,?L?E

Would you be able to explain the clue to me?
Am I meant to know the names of unis in London, or is it more about the initial L of London?
And "Failing that - are we talking about failing Uni?
Dropping out?
See?
My brain is full of holes this morning.

😬

Yes. First 3 letters are a type of rock, then the initials of a London University (fairly well known)
