It would be a spoiler to spell it out, but just change the first letter to B

Think I was on Brummie's wavelength today. Definitely quicker than usual solve. Quite a lot of GK but not so tough that you can't figure it out. My classical education was not up to knowing 4d for example. Is 5d one word? I didn't look it up.

FOI 3d. LOI 17d.

COD there were many contenders but I'm going with 14a.

I was barking up the wrong tree with the wrong English river for 12ac!

ChrisE @10: how is your wrong answer 'arguably better'? It doesn't even work.

Hi everyone

I finished an hour ago after a late start and falling asleep in the sun again. It took me a while to get going, but then all went in steadily.

I had trouble with one or two and got the wrong songfest at first. As usual there are a few I can't fully parse:

1ac, 26ac, 15d, 20d. I wasn't sure about 22ac as I don't know the US slang for bottom and the definition is a bit odd, I didn't like 13ac.

FOI 2d, LOI 20d, COD 17d
