Now got a finished grid with the necessary highlighting and the requisite lower case letters. Seeing where the lower case letters should be was easy thanks to the Wiki page, but then I was grid staring for about 10 minutes looking for the thematic material, then a massive PDM resounded in the cavity within my skull.

Don't suppose anyone can give me a very light push in the right direction for the unclued across entries? I can see where the thematic material is going, but struggling to see how it fits into any larger thematic words, which judging by my unches need to be at least 8 letters long each...

Lemon - the 3 unclued entries are not thematic,, but 'contain thematic material' as the preamble states.

I have solved all the clues and found the 14 cells of thematic material. My grid has 4 blank cells. Am I missing something?

Beerbore, there are no blank cells in the grid.

Can I go back to gitto's request for help on the 1st across clue? I've tried working from the bottom up but it's not falling into place

Ptobes - definition first word. There is an extra word in the clue. The wordplay is 2-letters reversed, inside 4-letters.
