One of the easiest for quite a while. Usual smattering of obscurities and Gallicisms.

Further comment. While many clues take a bit of unravelling, I think that few match the wittiness of Imogen's offering in yesterday's Guardian.

The facility to print it off seems to have been removed - it wasn't there last week either. Can someone provide a link which can be printed? I refuse to solve puzzles online - that's what armchairs are for.

Cockie and all,
The Observer editor said this today regarding pdf’s which may help…

“ A few of you have asked where the “Download PDF” button went after the puzzle platform switch. It’s still there, just in a new spot.

Here’s how to download your PDFs:

Head to the puzzle you want (e.g. Puzzles > Everyman > Everyman No. 4,144)
Click to open it
Click the three dots (“More”) in the top right corner
Choose “Print” (fourth option down)
A new browser window will open with your PDF, ready to print or save

It’s the same process for every puzzle on the site. “
