I’m sure you’re right. The ChatGPT list I generated gave “ee” and “ess” for E and S, and I was too lazy to check that Chambers doesn’t justify them!

yes peepe is listed in chambers as alternative to pip which is in the usual phrase...and then it works with the wordplay for the PPE degree course
