The clues...
Requests for help should include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer, and details of any you already have. Any additional information or special instructions, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.
Hints only, please, no answers.

The theme...
Help with the theme may be sought here too. The help given should be on the gentle side - just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction. Do not give informationthat would spoil the puzzle for other solvers.

If you feel that too much has been revealed, get in touch with the sitw administrator - Norah.evoluted@aol.com. Norah errs on the side of caution, anything iffy is likely to be removed.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be ttreated with respect.

I thought the last step of the endgame was a bit unsatisfactory -- which probably means I've got it wrong!

Enjoyed this one. Thought it was a clever and unusual way to illustrate the theme in the endgame. Thanks, Karla.

Grid filled, fancy bits added (though the exact placing of the seventh isn’t certain - is it in a numbered cell?). I can join the special cells with a relevant shape, but that’s where I’m stuck. I can’t see “a word thus formed” etc. pity to be stuck with 98% done. Plod on.

Jockie, you clearly know what all the amended cells represent, so your replacement has to be between the relevant cell and one that matches the thing being represented.

Then you have to change another cell so that the shape works, and that will reveal the word to be highlighted.

I feel that there is a little ambiguity as to where the curve finishes, but this has been an enjoyable puzzle and a (re-)learning exercise.

Thanks, Karla.
