Quite a few unfamiliar words this week, in both the clued and unclued solutions. A quick Google revealed what was suggested in the preamble, something I was not aware of.

Is yours a paper edition? My electronic download does not include the crossword, something which I have not encountered lo these many years

Alas because my subscription is through google the spectator website refuses to recognise me as a subscriber, and won't allow me access
