I've manged to fill the grid but have two problems. These are the end game and the two relevant titles. I can't spot the clue with two extra words, but my initial letters of those I have got give 7,5 (a film) and 3,4. What am I missing?

The clue with two extra words leads to the final title which is 8 letters rather than 3,4. I now have the protagonists but I'm about to give up as I've staring at it for too long. I would love to know how many cuts? Clever puzzle and I'm sure I will kick myself when all is revealed!

Please can one of you help me with 20/22? I’ve found the car brand but need the first bit. Scrapping unserviceable Capri lacking compliance left swelling car brands original caption needing revision. (7) I have .T?ISAL but don’t know which word is unnecessary.

Thanks Hugh, I assume that I am missing a "C", which I thought I might be because of an incident that happened on a stage. No idea how many cuts to make, but one of the protagonists of the 7,4 appears in my unmutilated grid.

P.S. Should my letter T be a P?

Jogamel, it is an anagram of US (unserviceable) + CAPRI (minus C) + L. Definition is a little obtuse IMO.

I didn't make the cuts but you can see the thing the two protagonists are 'in'famous for iwith a bit of zigzagging down the grid.

I did make the cuts, or specifically a single cut turning at right angles, along 37 cell sides, to create two halves of a zip. All very neatly done and creates two symmetrical pieces as required. Maybe it can be done more efficiently

Are the three words that appear vertically 1,12 & 13 letters long?
