I don’t have the puzzle, and can’t be confident, but the wordplay of 26a/8d might lead to a word for 0 in tennis, and then carbon monoxide (abbrev) and then a word for yuk, though that makes your e wrong.

The wordplay for 20d/14d suggests an anagram of scab on rear, making an element and then arse, followed by a word for run off as in make a hard copy of.

I may be miles away, of course
