Courtesy car’s back on almost empty (6).

The only word that fits the hole and “courtesy” as a definition is DEVOIR.

I can sort of see that VOI might be VOID for “almost empty” but I’m stumped as to the rest of it.

Maybe empty is DEVOI(D)?
