Here’s a link to the pdf in case of need…

Hi Jono,

Only about a third of the way through but I can already see that it's a particularly good one.

PS Don't be thrown by the doubling of the enumeration in the online version, as this doesn't appear in the pdf.

That was weird, I had no problem accessing the online puzzle and, upon completion, was just about to press 'submit' when a box appeared saying congratulations! Then, next to the grid, all the answers and their parsings appeared.

I wonder if this is a new thing, where you can access the puzzle but can only submit if you subscribe?

There is one bit of parsing I still don't get where "at" has to come from "layer next to skin".

Any help would be much appreciated.

... unless it's 'a t(ee)' as in A T-Shirt?

@Jono

I could have sworn I saw a post earlier where you mention a confusing preamble, but now I can't find it - is this a false memory or did you have it deleted?

Hi Bren, that was me in the Guardian thread yesterday morning. I’m just looking at Gemelo now.

I had the same experience - accessed online puzzle, completed it, got the "congratulations" message and the answers and parsings, but there was no "submit" button.

Brendan, re the parsing of 14d, A and T are the second and penultimate letters of l(A)nzaro(T)e, so they are next to the skin (outside) of it

An excellent puzzle. There is a line above the grid saying “to get full access to the app….subscribe”. Meanwhile, “paperless entry encouraged” - odd way to encourage it!
