Ramsay. He (?) makes it very clear that it's a debut puzzle.
Unusual and very interesting one. I was somehow on the wavelength and quickly wrote in much of the grid, but many parsings are complex (though I fear some may not be to everyone's liking).

Math(s) nerds will enjoy 19d. The Riemann zeta function is a rare guest in cryptics!

Looking forward to more from Ramsay.

3d was a previous WPR word. Set by Chris, I’ve just confirmed (WPR 43).

I was thrilled to see the Riemann zeta function make an appearance. 1d was slightly nerdy too. Enjoyed the puzzle overall. Didn’t recall the booze in 3, but looked it up, and then remembered having seen it in a crossword once before. Very nice debut for Ramsay.

I don't suppose you have come across Babycham over there, but it used to be a very popular drink here, especially for young ladies. It was actually perry (like cider, but made from pears rather than apples).
