Gemelo showing off a bit; clever to work the poem into the clues, but then it’s irrelevant to the solutions. Still, a fun solve.

Wow! It's amazing how the setter has managed to create the 'tribute' by using the first letter of every word. It must have been uber-difficult to do.

Indeed, very clever; though I might have favoured a cryptic preamble which could have led the solver to discover the poem independently.

Gemolo seems to thrive on self-imposed constraints when creating his puzzles; this one must have been a beast to create. It would be nice if he were to give us special puzzles occasionally à la Azed* e. g. eightsome reels, printer's devilry, spoonerisms etc.

*Whose Christmas puzzle was rather disappointing this year.
