Ledmonson, FAYRE is an archaic spelling of FAIR, in Chambers as "a charity bazaar"
Remove R from FAYRE to give FAYE, a female name.

Many thanks, I'd just worked it out 15 minutes ago after spending hours on it! The other one I got but still cannot work out why is: Questionable to Sugar, such experts might be postgraduates. It's obviously adepts but unable to parse it. Any ideas?

Hi
Postgraduates is an anagram (questionable) of 'to sugar' + 'such experts', i.e. the solution
I've forgotten the name for this type of clue

They’re generally called Composite (aka Compound) anagrams.

Thank you so much. I can usually work these out but have been particularly stumped with this. It is clear now you have explained it although the layout of the clue is a bit dubious because the answer is always at one end of the clue, e.g. postgraduates, but in this it's in the middle I.e. experts.
