6D is proving tricky. None of the T-T words in Chambers bears any resemblance to the clue. Either it's an American reference or I am slowly losing my marbles. Each seems likely.

It’s in Chambers. 4th definition listed. Short form of a common enough word.

To clarify, that reference is actually to an animal, though it is in use here as slang for the other meaning. It’s also listed in Merriam Webster and Collins, but you could argue it’s mainly a US usage
