I think it's PREDICT ( divine as in foretell the future). CIDER coming up (down clue) in the outer letters of PinT

You are of course absolutely right. Must try harder, though think "form of" for outer letters is a bit of a stretch. Just haven't seen it before I guess. Anyway, many thanks for your aid.
