all done except for the 3rd letter of the 3rd word from misprints. all I can think of ,is 6d has been printed without an intended misprint. or have I missed something?

Grahamderek, my thrid letter, third word, is in 2 Down - the Chambers definition of the entry confirmed it...

of course! I keep doing this because Idon't have a copy of Chambers, thanks

Thanks, grahamderek, glad I could help. I checked Chambers only because I needed the misprint to come from that clue. It was quite a crafty one as the word in the clue looked totally fine, accurate etc.

A rather gentle canter from Curmudgeon but no nevertheless an enjoyable puzzle with a pleasing final product.

A couple of tricky misprints but a very pleasing final grid.

Delete “no” in my post. Mistype probably.
