I have no letters. Does midday/twelve fit in somewhere/somehow? Do the ?/! mean anything? Is it a double definition?

Definitely wouldn’t call this clue easy. Remember to go on to other clues and maybe get some crossing letters, but this one looks like AMEND.
The definition is “correct” and “Noon?” is AM END.
