STRUGGLING WITH 3 DOWN - produce young fish in container that which may have caught them up (6)- I HAVE KETTLE.
I am happy with all the crossing clues bar 15 ACROSS - question for buddhist controlling study of the sacred language (6) which should be KOREAN but this gives a clash with the L in Kettle.
Can someone give me a clue please ?

I think the first half of the answer means 'young fish' and the second half is just a reversal (up) of the usual 'container' for catching fish. I think the whole thing means 'produce young', but I haven't checked.

Kettle is incorrect. The definition is produce young.
You need a 3 letter word for a container for fish then a 3 letter reversal for what you might catch fish in.

Thanks,Jono - that's sorted out the parsing for me too! I was happy with my answer on Sunday, but didn't spend much (any?) time putting the bits together.
