17 Down - "Place in New Zealand where honey is made" (7).
The answer has to be BEEHIVE, which is obviously literal, but the New Zealand connection? An obscure thought occurred to me - if one "knows one's place" does that mean you behave and is "beehive"the Kiwi pronunciation?
Or am I reading too much into this? Please let me know.
