Hi Lumen

Single letter abbreviation for constant followed by a drinks/spirits measure, def is Christian.

Hope this helps!

Hi Lumen, I seem to have created a duplicate thread at virtually the same time as you, so I have asked Nora to delete mine.

7d wordplay is 1,5, the usual for constant + a measure found in pubs. Definition is last two words.

I found this pretty tough going with a slightly unhelpful preamble - until the PDM arrived. Some very difficult clues, and spotting the breaks in the down clues was not easy. Solving the clue from the extra letters proved to be crucial for me.

Thanks both.
In 22a I'm thinking anagram of section round synonym for strike, wish is extra, but not seeing it, so maybe that's not how it works?

That is how 22a works. The synonym for strike is also a shortened version of a first name for a man or woman.

Thanks, gitto. That is a very gentle 'strike'...

All done, good fun.
Definitely needed the clue from the extra words to solve the endgame. Luckily, once you have it, it's an easy clue to solve.

Yes, I thought strike was a little OTT!

I've finished this except for the letter immediately after 23ac. I'm not familiar with that outlet.
