Hello all — I’m researching attributions for the early Guardian Genius series and would be eternally grateful for any help.

I’m trying to identify the setters for the following 25 puzzles:

4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, 56.

If anyone has kept copies (PDFs/printables/notes) showing the bylines or preambles for any of the above, I’d love to hear from you. Even one or two attributions would be hugely helpful.

Jono has already directed me towards a discussion about Genius 13 where it was speculated that the puzzle has an Araucarian feel - even hints along those lines from people that remember solving the puzzles back in the day, or perhaps have attempted them more recently, will be received with huge gratitude!

Many thanks in advance,
Mitz

Hi Mitz,
Welcome to the forum.

In addition to Genius 13, which is here for anyone who wants to read the thread…
https://www.crosswordsolver.org/forum/895765/offset/40

…I also found a discussion on Genius 25 which confirms Araucaria as the setter…

And here is a discussion on Genius 30 which may be of interest though it doesn’t reveal the setter…

This is the discussion on here for Genius 34 (I know it says 33 but Quisling established it is in fact 34) - but again, no mention of the setter but maybe some keen eyed reader will recognise his/her style....
